About Colton Davie

Colton Davie

Born in 1988, Colton Davie has had a long time love of art. As a young boy, he loved to draw. Several years later he was introduced to the fields of computer based graphics design and by the 7th grade he had designed his first website. He read design articles and tutorials often on the internet and eventually became proficient in Adobe Photoshop as well as in HTML and CSS. In 2003 he began to dabble in videography and editing. His involvement in video grew until in 2005 he wrote, and directed his first serious project, Bluestate - Tolerance For All, an hour long narrative movie that won the Young Filmmakers Jubilee award at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. Since then he has worked on many other projects including directing and/or shooting numerous shorts and documentaries, working as videographer and photographer on Justice Tom Parker's campaign for Alabama Chief Justice, and camera assisting on the feature, How to Save a Life. He is now majoring in Communications - Film & Technology at Bryan College.
